THE FIRESTARTER
Story: Rocio Frausto

The year is 1930. “Nucky” Thompson, mobsters and politicians define the prevailing trends during the Prohibition era in Atlantic City. Martin Scorsese directed the first episode of HBO’s epic new series, Boardwalk Empire. Critical acclaim and high ratings have garnered the show with two Golden Globe awards for, Best Dramatic Series and Best Actor in a Dramatic Series. The main title sequence was designed and produced by Imaginary Forces and the team of HBO.

Imaginary Forces has been developing content for commercial advertising, feature films, television and digital platforms since 1996. Visual Effects Supervisor and former Managing Director of Method Studios, Alex Frisch was appointed as a Creative Director for Imaginary Forces. “For IF and Alex, the union means that they will broaden their ability to tell stories, which has always been the main creative force for both of them. “IF has seen an explosion of VFX in our projects and its importance in our storytelling. We are re-thinking the way to use VFX, and having Alex here gives us an opportunity to increase our capability for doing that,” says Peter Frankfurt (IF Managing Director).”

Among those projects between Mr. Frisch and IF is the cultivation of COPA. A cooperative platform that conjoins Visual Effects artists from the globe. With a benchmark for excellence and groundbreaking technologies.

Mad Men, Transformers and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse are among the other shows/films that Imaginary Forces has triumphantly collaborated upon.
